The strippers could hold up against the raunchy teddy bear. In a surprising weekend at the movies, Ted took down Magic Mike to win the weekend box office. Ted, the Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg comedy, took in $54.1 millions this weekend, which suprised everyone including me...how about you? Magic Mike, the male stripper movie starring some hotties like Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matthew McConaughey and many more, didn't come up short...it took in $39.2 million (all in dollar bills)! Brave held strong and took in $34 million in it's second weekend. Madea and Tyler Perry opened strong as well, as Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection took in $26.4 million during it's opening weekend for the fourth spot. A very good weekend at the movies for Hollywood.
