Best known for his role on The Jeffersons, Shermen Hemsley has passed away at the age of 74. No word on what caused the death, but TMZ is reporting that he passed away at his El Paso, TX, home. Hemsley played George Jefferson on the hit sitcom and earned an Emmy nomination for that role. He had no wife or kids. Thoughts are with his family.
