Three in 10 Michigan adults -- 30.5 % -- are considered obese, compared with 17.2% in 1995, according to a study released Thursday. That makes Michigan the 10th fattest state, according to the report, "F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America's Future 2011" by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Mississippi was No. 1 for the seventh year in a row. At least we are not the worst, which we often tend to be #1 when it comes to polls like this!
