Civil Unions Bill Passes Illinois State House

On Tuesday, the Illinois House of Representatives passed SB1716, the "Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act." The historic civil unions bill passed on a vote of 61-52 and the legislation now moves to the state Senate, where it is expected to be passed quickly and signed into law by Gov. Pat Quinn. Way to go Illinois.....now let's just get the rest of the states to join in!
