Pentagon Report Says Gays No Harm

The Pentagon's top leaders declared in a report released on Tuesday that gay troops can serve openly in the armed forces without harming the military's ability to fight. The study called for the 17-year-old "don't ask, don't tell" ban to be scrapped and pointed to a new survey that showed most troops wouldn't mind. Note to political leaders: Let's listen to the survey of troops actually serving in the armed forces and move into the year 2010 please and get rid of this ridiculous law. Thanks!

Civil Unions Bill Passes Illinois State House

On Tuesday, the Illinois House of Representatives passed SB1716, the "Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act." The historic civil unions bill passed on a vote of 61-52 and the legislation now moves to the state Senate, where it is expected to be passed quickly and signed into law by Gov. Pat Quinn. Way to go Illinois.....now let's just get the rest of the states to join in!

Super Bowl 2011 Halftime Show Performers

This is the first current/worthy group of entertainers to perform since Janet Jackson showed a tittie at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2004. I'm hoping Fergie slips one out. The Black Eyed Peas should put on an awesome show...no old, dried up men this year to perform....exciting!!!

R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen

Actor Leslie Neilsen, best known for "Airplane!" and "The Naked Gun" comedies, passed away today after complications from pneumonia. He was 84.

Jennifer Grey Wins Dancing With The Stars

I have never been a big fan of the show, but with Bristol Palin somehow being in the finals, I am glad to announce that Jennifer Grey and her partner Derek Hough have won season 11 of DWTS. She still looks good, even at 50. Congrats!

'Sarah Palin's Alaska" Sucks It Up In Week 2

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" set a TLC ratings record when it debuted to 5 million viewers last week, but the second episode showed a huge drop-off in viewership. Episode two of the Palin reality show averaged just 3 million viewers, down 40% from the previous week. This makes me smile on the outside and inside!!! To top it off too, the median age of the show's viewers is 57 years old. Just the old, crazy Tea Party followers left around supporting the psycho. Let's hope they cancel it before too long.
