LaughFest Coming To Grand Rapids

In what should be an amazing event, Gilda's Club of Grand Rapids, named for the late comedian Gilda Radner, is creating the nation's first communitywide festival focused on humor with performances, shows and films, plus a community talent showcase, in as many as 25 locations in town. Some entertainers coming to town beginning March 10th for the event include Betty White, Bill Cosby and Kathleen Madigan. I'm very excited for this and can't wait for more details.

My Girl Is Pregnant

Pink announced on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, which will air on Wednesday, that she is definitely pregnant. Pink tells Ellen that she is "eating for two." Congrats to my girl, even though I am jealous it isn't mine with her!

Truly Inspiring

A mother had to defend her five-year-old son's choice to go as Daphne from Scooby Doo for Halloween. What she writes is truly inspiring and made me cry. I loved the, "I am not worried that your son will grow up to be an actual ninja so back off" and the ending made me cry, but duh. The kid is a total cutie and it is Halloween, a chance for one and all to dress up and be someone for a day/night. The kid is five and wants to explore things and those mothers that ridiculed this mother for letting him dress this way, shame on them. I hope their kids grow up to be fine living in a house full of shame and hatred.

Andrew Shirvell Is A Goner

In something that was long overdue, Andrew Shirvell, assistant attorney general for Michigan, was fired from his position for his actions against Chris Armstrong, the openly gay student assembly president at University of Michigan. Shirvell was pretty much stalking and harassing this man and now he has no job because of it...glad to hear it!

This video just confirmed my need to be friends with Pink....she is amazing and so damn sexy!!! A good message too along the lines of Firework by Katy Perry.
